How Does Digital Night Vision Work?
Digital riflescopes do not use an intensifier tube like a traditional night vision device, but a CMOS array to convert light gathered from the objective lens. The light is then into an electronic signal which is processed and sent to the display to produce an image. Since the components are different in digital night vision—you may still use them in daylight without risking damage. Unlike traditional night vision, digital scopes do require some light to produce an image.
High Definition
With the highest nighttime sensitivity on the market at 550 yards detection range with the powerful 940nm IR illuminator, the 1280×720 CMOS HD sensor makes it possible for extended viewing at night with enhanced image quality even without the accompanied illuminator.
The wide-angle six-lens eyepiece is made of clear, premium glass. This lens system, combined with the CMOS HD sensor and the 1024×768 AMOLED black and white display, means the Pulsar Digisight Ultra delivers rich, deep imaging with precise detail—a 20-percent increase over previous Digisight models. The high-end AMOLED display provides a fast refresh rate, increased response time and reduces power consumption.
Customizable for All Hunting Situations
Customize and adapt to any situation with 10 different reticles, including ballistic, scalable, dot, mil-dot and traditional patterns. A nine-color reticle palette allows you to pick the best contrast between objects and background, no matter the type of foliage, so positive target identification is swift. Other features include a stadiametric rangefinder, side incline and elevation angle sensor—giving shooters the confidence to make accurate long-range shots in mountainous or uneven terrain, and when shooting prone or from a stand.
Easy Zeroing
The extremely helpful and easy-to-use One-Shot Zero offers faster sight-in while saving time and money by eliminating wasted ammo. Simply fire one shot, enter the One-Shot Zero mode and adjust the digital crosshair to the point of impact. After a few rounds, your Digisight is sighted! Once zeroed, save 5 different profiles at 50 distances so you can switch between firearms and/or loads without having to rezero. This particularly saves you time since the Digisight Ultra works successfully day and night, so you are able to use the same rifle you hunted deer with during the day to eradicating the problematic hog population at night—something we like to call ‘marathon hunting.’
Picture-in-Picture and Smooth Digital Zoom
The 4x digital zoom remains fluid and offers precise detail rendering through continuous zoom, as well as 2x and 4x stepped zoom. Picture-in-picture mode allows you to see an enlarged image of your target, without compromising your full field of view. The reticle remains stable through the zoom magnification as you experience on a first focal plane reticle riflescope.
Record and Stream Live
Built-in Wi-Fi allows you to stream your hunts live on social media and share with your friends via onboard video recording with sound. Simply download the free Stream Vision app, follow the prompts and record the action. The Digisight also includes an innovative recoil-activated recording feature, so even if you forget to hit the record button, the perfect shot at your trophy isn’t missed. The Digisight Ultra saves up to 16GB of pictures or video on its internal memory.
Durability
The Pulsar Digisight Ultra N455 is IPX7 waterproof, works flawlessly during rain or snow and is even submersible in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Tested for extreme temperatures, the Digisight operates in adverse conditions from -13 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit. The Digitsight digital night vision riflescope is highly recoil-resistant and works perfectly on popular hunting rifles, smooth bore, air guns and shotguns.
Convenient 5-Hour Runtime
Included is a rechargeable B-Pack IPS5 battery which provides over five hours of operation. Higher-powered IPS10 battery packs, as well as an AA battery case are available, giving you extra usage when you need it most. An instant start-up feature helps conserve battery life. A micro USB port can be used as an external battery source.
