How to Install Stream Vision on iOS devices

Step 1.

Type in “Stream Vision” in the Appstore search bar.

Download the application.

Step 2.

Open the Stream Vision Application.

  • “Try demo mode” – use the application without connecting an optical device
  • “Connect your device” – use the application when your optical device is connected

How to Pair Optic and Mobile Device

Step 1.

Press “Connect your device” on the Stream Vision home screen to initiate connection. Tap Settings on your iOS device.

Step 2.

Select WiFi section.

Step 3.

Select the network with the name of your device.

Step 4.

The network name of your optic includes the device model name and the last four digits of its serial number (for example, “Digiforce_0230”)

Step 5.

Return to the Stream Vision app. Press the “Viewfinder” button to start using Stream Vision.

How to Update Firmware

Step 1.

Connect your optic to the Stream Vision app, then turn the optic off.

Step 2.

Activate mobile internet or Wifi on your mobile device. Launch the Stream Vision app.

Note: you may receive update notifications (if any available on the server) when your mobile device is online. You need at least one previous connection to the Stream Vision app to be able to receive updates.

Step 3.

Open “My Devices” in Stream Vision. Select the desired optical device (if several devices were connected).

Step 4.

Press the “Check for update” button. Download an update. The update downloads to the internal memory of your mobile device (or application) and will be kept there until you connect your optic.

Important: when checking for update, make sure that your mobile device has internet connection and the optic is not connected to mobile device.

Step 5.

Connect your optic and open “My Devices” in Stream Vision. In a pop-up box you have two options: to install update immediately or to do it later.

Note: it’s okay to cancel firmware download and keep using your device.

Press “OK” to confirm once download is completed.

Step 6.

Press “Install now” to begin transferring the firmware to your optic. Please make sure that your optic is properly charged. If the device turns off during firmware transfer, you will need to re-connect to Stream Vision and install again.

Once update installation is completed, the optical device turns off and the application receives update status notification.

How to Control Your Optic Using a Mobile Device

Step 1.

Tap “My Devices” icon on the Stream Vision home screen to have more details about your optic, or select “My Devices” from the hamburger menu.

Step 2.

Tap “Connect new” to connect a new device. Click on the name of a device in the upper part of the display to select one of the previously connected devices to check updates, view settings and information. 

Tap “Check for updates” to download the latest firmware for your optic.

Note: you can install update only once a device is connected to the Stream Vision app.

Step 3.

Tap “Device description” to read about major features of your optic.

Step 4.

Tap “Device’s settings” to be able to change some parameters like time/date, memory formatting etc.

Select “Delete device” to delete from the application all data about your optical device. You can delete a device only if it is not connected to the Stream Vision app.

How to Manage Files

Step 1.

Tap “Files” on the Stream Vision home screen to go to the file manager on your device

Step 2.

Select the name of a device in the upper part of the display to select one of the previously connected devices. File manager shows all recorded videos and photos.

Click on respective buttons to get information about the file, to share or to delete it.

If a file is located in the optic, you can download it to the Stream Vision app and review it when the device is not connected.

Step 3.

Select files to display: files recorded on phone or device. Toggle the switch to select.

How to Use Viewfinder

Step 1.

Tap the “Viewfinder” icon on the Stream Vision home screen to start viewing the image from your optic.

Step 2.

Tap the respective icons to setup parameters of the unit (for example, display brightness control, IR power level, digital zoom etc.)

Step 3.

Tap “Modes” in the top right corner to select “Photo Mode,” “Video Mode” or “Stream.” Tap “Record to phone” to record video/photo directly to your smartphone/tablet.

How to Stream Live Video to Youtube

Before using the Stream function, we suggest that you create a Youtube account in advance using the Youtube app or your computer.

Step 1.

Tap “Stream” icon on the Stream Vision home screen.

Step 2.

Tap “I understand” to allow internet traffic use for streaming.

Tap “Get started”.

Step 3.

Follow the steps shown on the screen.

Step 4.

Open Settings on your iOS device, then tap “Cellular.”

Step 5.

Turn on “Personal Hotspot”.

Step 6.

Set up this password “1234567890”.

 You can either copy the password from smartphone settings to the application or copy the password from the application to the smartphone settings.

Note: Use only Latin letters and numbers for Hotspot name and password. NO spaces or other characters are allowed.

Step 7.

Tap “Check connection”.

Return to the hotspot setup window and wait for the device to connect to the smartphone (smartphone settings will show blue connection stripe).

Internet sharing window pops up.

Step 8.

Connect your Youtube account and verify your identity with smartphone.

Note: If you are not able to create a Youtube account with livestream from the application, try using a computer and then signing in on the app.

Step 9.

Send a message with a  link to your friends. Tap “Start stream” to begin livestreaming.

Step 10.

Tap record button to start recording video (or taking a photo). Tap record button again to stop recording. You can setup other parameters such as digital zoom, IR power level, and brightness level.

Tap “Lock” to block the device’s display when streaming.

Step 11.

Dialogue window pops up if you attempt to quit stream window. Confirm if you want to stop/resume streaming.

How to Share Recorded Files via Apps on Your Mobile Device

Stream Vision allows you to share recorded files via numerous applications installed on your mobile device (social media, email, messengers and cloud storage services.)

Step 1.

To share a file, open the file manager.

Step 2.

Download file to your mobile device.

Step 3.

Select a file you want to share and press the “Share” button.

Step 4.

Select how you want to share your content.

How to Install Stream Vision on Android devices

Step 1.

Type in “Stream Vision” in the Google Play search bar.

Download the application.

Step 2.

Open the Stream Vision Application.

How to Pair Optic and Mobile Device

Step 1.

After you have pressed the “connect your device” button, a window shows up which allows you to connect WiFi. Press the WiFi slider to the ON position.

Step 2.

On your mobile device, select the network with the name of your optic. The network name of your optic includes the device model name and the last four digits of its serial number (for example, “Digiforce_0063”)

As soon as first step is successfully completed, press the “Let’s continue” button.

Step 4.

Select your account.

Step 5.

Connect your Youtube account.

Note: If you are not able to create a Youtube account with livestream from the application, try using a computer and then signing in on the app.

Step 6.

Send a message with a link to your friends. Tap “Start stream” to begin livestreaming.

Step 7.

Live streaming is not recorded to your mobile device.

Tap record button to start recording video (or taking a photo). Tap record button again to stop recording. You can setup other parameters such as digital zoom, IR power level, and brightness level.

Note: if you forgot to send a link to your friends before the streaming began, you can do this during streaming by clicking on “Options” and going to “Share”.

Step 8.

Dialogue window pops up if you attempt to quit stream window. Confirm if you want to stop/resume streaming.
