This past weekend, I got to go to Pulsar’s annual Pro Staff retreat at the amazing Sellmark Ranch, and let me tell you—it was one heck of an experience from start to finish. Pulsar really went all out to make sure every one of us felt welcome, appreciated, and like we were part of something bigger than just a brand. The retreat showed how much Pulsar truly values its Pro Staff and the relationships they've built with us over the years.
Right from the get-go, we were welcomed with open arms, nice accommodations, and a well-organized schedule that mixed fun with learning. Everything ran like clockwork, showing just how committed Pulsar is to doing things right.
One of the coolest parts for me was a hands-on workshop where we made mock optics out of clay. More than just a fun little craft project, it gave us a chance to give real input on new products. Knowing that they actually want our feedback and are willing to use it shows just how much they respect us and are committed to always improving.
Another highlight was the low-light photography session. As hunters and outdoorsmen, we all know how tricky it can be to get good photos when the light’s low. Pulsar made sure we learned some new tricks and skills to help us take better pictures out in the field. The instructors were awesome and gave us some great tips that are definitely going to come in handy.
Of course, a retreat at Sellmark Ranch wouldn’t be complete without some hunting. We got to go pig hunting at night, making the most of Pulsar’s top-of-the-line thermal optics. There’s just nothing like scanning the field with my Telos XL50 LRF, spotting a target, and lining up the perfect shot with my Thermion 2 XP50 PRO LRF. It was an experience that really drove home how advanced and reliable Pulsar’s optics are.
But honestly, one of the best parts was just hanging out with the other Pro Staff and the Pulsar crew. Being around folks who love hunting, shooting, and the great outdoors just as much as I do made the whole experience even better. We swapped stories, made new friends, and shared some good laughs around the campfire. Plus, the food was absolutely top-notch—every meal was delicious and gave us the fuel we needed for the next activity.
When it was all said and done, I left the retreat feeling even more proud to be part of the Pulsar family. It was a weekend full of learning, camaraderie, and just plain fun. Pulsar’s attention to detail and the way they take care of their Pro Staff really sets them apart. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this incredible team. Until next time, Pulsar—thanks for an unforgettable weekend!
