Jacob Hutchins

About

Jacob Hutchins studied business management with a double major in marketing at the University of West Georgia, aiming to work in the outdoor industry after graduation. Graduating in the middle of COVID-19 made that difficult, so he went back to what he knew — construction — and now owns and operates a contracting company with his dad, while still making plenty of time for his other passions.

He developed a love for the woods at a young age growing up in South Georgia, where hunting is a family tradition built around food plots and hand-me-down camo. Discovering public land as he got older opened up a new world of travel, and he's been hooked ever since — chasing whitetails across far more states than just Georgia. He killed his first deer at seven and is now 28, and along the way has met great people, grown his faith, and learned a lot about himself in the pursuit of wild game.

Jacob has been with Pulsar for just over a year. What used to be one facet of his hunting is now approaching a full-time pursuit — locally, coyote hunting is what he's known for, and he's carried a thermal to several states to put predators down. Content creation for Pulsar reignited his interest in photography and gives him a regular outlet to sharpen those skills, while connecting him with a whole new community of hunters and opportunities he never imagined as a kid shooting does in his grandpa's bean field.
